Experienced Machine Learning Engineer
Imperva, the leader in Application & Data Security, is looking to hire an experienced Machine Learning Engineer (MLE), as part of our Threat Research group to help us deploy our ML models that protects our customers against cyber attacks.
The threat research group is composed of elite researchers & developers. We research application, DDoS & database attacks, provide algorithms for new products, and are leading innovation and thought leadership initiatives.
Job Description:
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and, MLOps, Product Managers to convert ML prototypes, in the field of application and data security, to production grade ML applications
Apply engineering knowledge and expertise to create robust and optimized ML applications that will perform under a set of predefined conditions
Deploy ML models that will be capable of running offline, near real-time and real-time environments
Maintain & monitor ML models in production to ensure they remain accurate and reliable
Play a major part in the development of innovative security solutions to be integrated in our best in breed products
Influence hundreds of millions of users, daily
Crunch security data (Network traffic, Application requests, Database transactions etc.,) to discover information hidden in large volumes of data, such as advanced cyber-attacks, and attack patterns.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or other quantitative / technical field
Practical experience in machine learning, deep-learning, data analysis, or other algorithmic research
4+ years of hands-on experience in software development
Proven track record in developing and deploying ML models
Solid Python programming skills
Solid experience in querying and manipulating large data sets using SQL and SQL like languages (e.g., Presto)
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-learner with can-do attitude
Excellent team player with the ability to work independently
Hands on programming skills in Java, C++, and Rust - an advantage
Background in cybersecurity – an advantage
Experience in multidisciplinary data-driven problem solving - an advantage
Solid experience in machine learning and deep-learning libraries, such as Scikit-learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy ,PyTorch, Keras – an advantage.
