The Imperva Data Security Fabric (DSF) Sensitive Data Management (SDM) scanner allows you to search for sensitive data throughout your organization’s entire data infrastructure and analyze and manage the found data via interactive dashboards.

The SDM scanner leverages the features of Imperva DSF Discovery and Classification to help you quickly identify, classify, analyze, and take appropriate action on sensitive data. The SDM scanner will probe your organization’s data for specific types of sensitive data (e.g., credit card numbers) via individual “scans” that can be run on a schedule and/or launched on a singular basis.

Scan results that include data analysis and annotation metadata are processed and sent to the Imperva DSF’s data analytics tool, where SDM-specific dashboards allow you to see visual analytics of the data, perform immediate actions as needed, and automate future SDM tasks.
