The Imperva Infrastructure team architects, builds, and operates one of the largest globally-distributed DDOS and WAF platforms in support of our substantial customer base of multinational companies with growing network security needs. We continually iterate on all aspects of AS 19551 including network infrastructure including working closely on our efforts with data center operators, network hardware vendors, operational systems developers, Internet Service Providers, and a variety of partner organizations around the world.
We have concentrations of employees in Plano, Tel Aviv, and Singapore, but support remote hires globally to best meet our customer needs.
Evaluate vendors and implement a US-based rack integration program to optimize network and server hardware deployments for new site builds in the Americas.
Source components for our bill-of-materials as needed from best-in-class suppliers in conjunction with internal network architecture and engineering teams, ensuring availability for builds, and where appropriate, warehousing of spares.
Work with Imperva senior management to develop regional and global standards for site planning and deployment, including particular attention to delivery effectiveness, cost structure, and end-to-end timing optimization.
Constantly discuss with vendors about potential improvements to our workflows, learning from industry best practices and attempting to find novel innovations to our activities.
Continually balance tradeoffs between cost and performance. Be relentlessly curious as to how Imperva can iterate on deployment efforts to be more effective.
Help drive a high overall cadence of activities on the overall data center team.
Coordinate with our project managers, other internal regional data center planners, data center operations teams, and the network strategy teams to ensure our deployments are as close to single-touch as possible.
Fluent in English with Spanish highly desirable, including business and internet terminology
Substantial experience from Anchorage to Tierra del Fuego with logistics providers, solution integrators, and the taxation of ordering and shipment of network and server equipment.
Ability to express requirements and accomplishments in clear and concise written form, particularly with efforts across time zones and in conjunction with legal teams on escalations
Experience working with capacity planning, supply chain, contract management, and vendor negotiation teams to ensure coordination of efforts across functions
Gap analysis on existing workflows to identify opportunities for scaling and overall performance improvements across the Imperva infrastructure organization
Excellent network and business data analysis skills including tools and sources such as Google Sheets, Tableau, SQL queries, Kentik, and Grafana
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to vendor locations and Imperva sites
