Sr. Product Manager, Cloud-Native Security

The Senior Product Manager in Cloud-Native Security role leads a new frontier within Imperva’s Application Security portfolio. The team is responsible for building products that protect customers’ applications irrespective of where they are deployed including on-prem, hybrid, and PaaS models. We are on a mission to help organizations balance the need to adopt modern architecture and rapid development to meet business needs and the security required to protect sensitive data and critical functions. You will be in the driver's seat to lead the Cloud Native product innovation.

The ideal candidate would be able to drive strategy, partner with engineering to deliver new Cloud-Native Security solutions, collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute go-to-market strategies, act as a thought leader at the industry level, evangelize the products, and product strategy both internally and externally. You will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities), managing strategic planning, feature selection, and tactical activities.

As a Senior Product Manager, you are the ideal team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across a variety of organizational functions. You will guide a team that is charged with a product’s contribution to our business, building new products, and increasing the profitability of existing products. In addition, you will help develop new ideas based on your contact with customers and prospects.

You should be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead without authority, and be comfortable managing chaos, ambiguity, and complexity. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must also enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

We are looking for: a hands-on, methodical, analytical, and original thinker, with a passion for building staggering products that go beyond our customers’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domain expertise in cybersecurity, DevOps, enterprise application environments is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in software development is highly desirable
  • Experience with Cloud Native infrastructure and services is a big plus
  • Prior involvement in projects either as a contributor or user of open source tools is a plus
  • Demonstrable track record of success
  • Excellent research capabilities backed by a robust technical decision-making process
  • Experience with modern service infrastructure such as Kubernetes/Istio microservice architecture
  • Act as the “messenger of the market” from the outside-in to the rest of the organization
  • Articulate the vision of the product to all stakeholders and communicate effectively with global cross-functional teams
  • Strong desire to solve customer problems with innovation
  • Experience working closely with customers to identify their needs 
  • Skills in helping product development teams adjust their priorities to meet customer needs
  • Capability to adapt to ever-changing environment to guide the organization towards optimal business outcome given time and resource restrictions
  • Develop and execute the product short and long term roadmap
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept ideation to product sunset
  • Perform data-driven business analysis with subject matter experts and customers
  • Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement
  • Collaborate with product marketing on the creation of positioning for your products

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s university degree
  • 5+ years of product management experience for Enterprise software
  • 3+ years experience in Networking and Internet Infrastructure technology
  • Understanding the development life cycle in SaaS companies
  • Excellent communications skills, assertive
  • Excellent English
  • Demonstrated experience with outbound activities
