About Imperva DDoS Protection for Network 
Imperva DDoS protection shields entire networks by leveraging the Imperva network’s multi-terabit scrubbing capacity and high-capacity packet processing capabilities to instantly mitigate the largest, most sophisticated DDoS attacks.

Imperva supports multiple deployment models, including Cross Connect, GRE tunnels, and Equinix Cloud Exchange. DDoS Protection for Networks is available as an always-on or on-demand service, with flow-based monitoring and support for automatic or manual switchover.

The Opportunity

With growth and success comes the need to expand. We are looking to hire an experienced Network DDoS Engineer to join our Network Support team.

The Network SMEs are responsible to ensure customers are successfully being added to the Services and troubleshoot any routing issues once traffic is diverted onto Imperva’s Network.   

Therefore, this position requires a solid blend of previous experience in Professional Services, Project Management and Customer facing roles in Enterprise Network architecture and design.

You will work closely with Imperva enterprise customers, as well as with other internal teams such as Sales Engineers, Sales, Product Development, Product Management, Customer Success and Professional Services.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Imperva customers and prospects to complete advanced network troubleshooting
  • Be a Trusted Advisor for both Customers and Imperva SE/Sales teams
  • Actively communicate with Imperva’s internal teams to address challenges
  • Contribute to Imperva’s Knowledge base by writing KB articles and How-to processes & playbooks

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven track record of success as Network Engineer working with Internet and upstream providers
  • Must have strong understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, manipulate route change
  • Strong understanding of the following technologies: IP protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP), IP tunneling (GRE IPSEC), IP filtering, xFlow, TCP-MSS, MTU
  • Prefer to have understanding of Internet Route Registry, Route Object
  • Ability to handle high stress troubleshooting sessions while maintaining customer focus and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written, oral communication and polished interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Experience with Network or Application Firewalls and/or routers a plus
  • Experience with Junos is a plus
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • CCNP/JNCIP equivalent preferred
