Senior Software Engineer- Remote

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the Advanced Bot Protection team. Our team is responsible for developing distributed and scalable data processing systems. We are also responsible for developing the reporting frontend for the Advanced Bot Protection product.

You will be responsible for maintaining and championing best practices within the team. We are a cross-functional team that is responsible for delivering product improvements, testing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines. If you have a passion for learning new technologies and getting hands-on experience with technologies outside of your comfort zone you will fit right in.

This is a fully remote role but we are looking for someone located on the East Coast. We have a team of engineers located in the Raleigh, NC area and they love to get together to collaborate or enjoy some local team building.


  • Participate in the team’s agile ceremonies: daily scrum, weekly backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Demo and share your work with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product managers and other software engineers to understand business requirements, user experience goals and pain points.
  • Engage with customers and frontline teams to better understand use cases and pain points
  • Research new technologies that we want to introduce into our product/tech stack
  • Implement robust and scalable APIs to surface data for demonstrating value or provide actionable insights
  • Develop high-quality application code, tests, and CI/CD pipelines


  • Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer 
  • Expert proficiency in Java
  • High level of proficiency with Spring, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, SQL, JavaScript 
  • Good understanding of microservice environment
  • Good understanding of Secure Coding best practices
  • Solid understanding of distributed data processing systems
  • Familiarity with full-stack development including efficient database usage

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline including Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Experience with Apache Flink, Spark, Kafka Connect or similar stream processing frameworks
  • Experience with React or similar front-end framework
  • Familiarity with DataDog or similar observability services
  • Willingness to learn and participate in full-stack development tasks
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
