Imperva is looking for a Talented Senior Security Researcher for our Threat Research Group.


Comprised of elite researchers, analysts & data scientists. We research web applications, DDoS, database attacks & cloud attacks, provide algorithms for new products, and are leading innovation and thought leadership initiatives.

The variety: Writing code in multiple languages, analyzing big data, researching vulnerabilities and attacks, writing algorithms, providing thought leadership, working with other global teams. And that’s just before lunch.


The impact: The research will directly impact Imperva products and customers and become a thought leader in data security.


What we are looking for?


A professional with a mindset of a hacker to join the security research team.

Focuses on research database and cloud-specific attacks to help and guide R&D to develop cutting-edge detection algorithms, suggest new and push new ideas to Product Management. A natural leader with a passion for thought leadership, writing blogs, and presenting in conferences.


What will you do?

Exploring new attack trends on the public cloud and databases, suggesting new detection algorithms, and working together with Data Science and R&D to implement those detections. Develop PoCs, document research ideas, find new innovative ways to be in front of the data security market, write blogs, and present in conferences. 


Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience of Security Research
  • Passionate about cybersecurity (For example Penetration testing, cloud security expertise, DB security expertise.
  • Quick learner - ability to learn new disciplines in cybersecurity
  • Good understanding of cloud architecture(AWS, Azure, GCP) and network protocols – an advantage
  • “Hands-on" experience in one of the following: Attacking databases and cloud environments. 
  • Thorough knowledge of data-specific attacks (Exfiltrating information from databases, hacking cloud environments).
  • Passion for data analytics/machine learning – an advantage.
  • Good presentation and writing skills - Blogs and conferences 
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or related technical/quantitative field or relevant experience
  • Team player with a proven ability to work with others in developing solutions.
  • Experience in Python.
  • Ability to motivate and lead those around you by your own contribution, professionalism, leadership, and teamwork.
