Sales Operations Manager - EMEA

The Sales Operations Manager will provide support to the Sales organization for the EMEA Region. Reporting to the Global Vice President, Sales Operations, the ideal candidate will have high energy, experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong analytical and creative mindset to support our regional sales organization. The role will be located in EMEA. This person will be the go-to point of contact in region for sales metrics and analytics.  This individual will collaborate closely with the EMEA Sales organization to support the Regional Vice President, EMEA and Management Team in addition to collaborating with the Global Sales Operations organization to align and support best practice sharing across regions.


This individual will be responsible for operationalizing the annual operating plans, including the bottoms-up development of the plan, development of a broad range of financial forecasting and business models, and the deployment of targets and quotas in conjunction with Sales leadership, finance and other planning functions. This individual will also be responsible for managing weekly and quarterly forecast reviews with the EMEA Sales Leadership and Management Team.


This role requires the ability to ensure appropriate due diligence is applied to business decisions, maintaining the integrity of reported information, and synthesizing that information into a strategic asset (e.g., translate business problems to analytical deliverables for decision), He/she will partner with other Operations and Finance teams across the company, effectively balancing direction between Sales and other functional teams, while ensuring they are enabling the organization to drive business results. 


Planning & sales target setting:

  •     Responsible for the deployment of sales targets and quotas by territory
  •     Provides analytics to validate sales territories and deploy sales representatives effectively

Partner up with Sales Strategy and Sales Enablement

  • Working closely with the sale strategy on sales programs and global sales messaging rolle out
  • Work with global sales enablement and act as a conduit between corporate and EMEA sales team

Forecast & sales performance analysis:

  •     Responsible for the data management, analysis and reporting of key metrics, including forecasting across the business to make data-driven decisions
  •     Works to understand sales deficiencies, process bottlenecks and performance inconsistencies through reporting and analytics, and develop proactive recommendations.
  •     Participates in Sales forecast calls, run the pipeline cadence, and manage other aspects of the business cadence.
  •     Leverage Salesforce.com to provide analytics on deal commitments and pipeline, and post-sale reporting of bookings data and performance against plan
  •     Partner with Sales Enablement to implement and leverage sales enabling platforms/tools. Monitor the sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data 

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of sales operations experience
  • 6+ years of experience with business analytics.
  • 5+ Advanced Excel experience
  • 3+ years PowerPoint skills required for managing/presenting data. 
  • 3+ years experience with a CRM tool; preferably Salesforce.com

Desired Qualifications 

  •     Knowledge of sales operations function and responsibilities required.
  •     Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with an ability to provide data-backed analysis
  •     Experience with business analytics tools such as Tableau strongly preferred.
  •     Exhibit the ability to take initiative and prioritize effectively to deliver in a timely manner
  •     Must be able to self-manage in an environment with ambiguity and constant change.
  •     Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) complex topics to a broad audience, ranging from executives to functional teams.
  •     Prior experience in the high-tech industry is preferred.
  •     Program management experience and skills preferred.
