Escalation Engineer

The Opportunity

As an Escalation Engineer, you will be part of the Escalation Team, working alongside our exceptional team of professionals in Engineering, Product Management and Product Support. You will be responsible for coordinating activities of different departments in the company in order to solve complex and challenging issues and drive the quality of Imperva products forward.   As part of this role, you will develop automation to test private solutions before deployment in customer production sites.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with developers on solution to problems in the field
  • Supply solutions and assistance to the support and sales teams as a represent of the development group
  • Being a focal point for technical issues and make sound decisions quickly
  • Assist crisis management teams finding quick solutions for the company’s strategic customers
  • Develop automation to test private solutions before deployment in customer production sites
  • Take part in shaping new features and products

 

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science – an advantage. Very high technical skills – a must
  • Experience in networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing protocols, and various deployment types), focusing on L2-L4 
  • Experience with Java programming
  • Experience with shell/bash scripting
  • Experience with Linux
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with several interfaces in parallel and matrix management skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Team Player
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment
  • Knowledge in some of the following is an advantage:
  • Experience as SW project manager
  • Experience in Security
  • Extended knowledge and experience with the HTTP protocol and HTTP-related products
  • Knowledge of various SQL Databases (such as Oracle and MSSQL)
  • Experience and understanding of Unix-like operating systems
  • Knowledge in Virtual and/or Cloud based Environments (such as VMWare and AWS)
  • Experience in working with traffic sniffers
  • Knowledge of Load Balancers, Application / Network Firewalls, and similar technologies
  • Knowledge of Shell-scripting, HTML and XML, Python
  • Knowledge in SSL and PKI fields
  • Advanced certifications such as CCNP/DBA etc.
