Join Us at WHD.global: Experts Speak on Security and Access

WHD.global is the largest hosting and cloud event worldwide. Last year, the convention gathered more than 6,300 visitors from 83 countries. And this year promises to be just as big. Taking place in Rust, Germany (March 15 -17), WHD.global 2016 will bring together leading experts from the hosting and cloud industry.

Because there’s so much to learn and see at WHD, we’ve put together a short list of security talks on timely topics that will help you find answers to pressing security questions you have.

Security

The news is filled with stories about online breaches and stolen data. Web users are increasingly concerned about privacy, while browsers and anti-malware apps warn about sites not having inadequate authentication, encryption, and validation.

How do these issues impact hosting providers? And what about all the changing market pressures, regulations, and responsibilities? How does all of this impact your infrastructure, your business model, and your customers?

The answers to these questions and more will be discussed on Tuesday, March 15, during a panel called “The Untold Story About Security and Web Hosting.” The discussion will feature Roxane Divol, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Website Security, Symantec, and Dr. Richard Sykes, Strategic Analyst and Director of EuroCloud UK.

Every Internet user is increasingly concerned about trust as the landscape evolves and threats proliferate, both small and large. Is their data safe? Is it still theirs? Or is it being exfiltrated or otherwise shared with entities unapproved by them?

Can the open source, integrated stack architecture of Open-Xchange deliver on its promise of trusted Internet services and unparalleled support to service providers on a global scale?

Open-Xchange’s Bert Hubert, CEO PowerDNS, and Neil Cook, CSA, will show you what it’s all about in “Three Building Blocks for Trusted Internet Services: Openness, Privacy and Security,” also on Tuesday.

Impenetrable cloud security – ensuring an environment of trust in addition to platform, application, and data integrity – is the primary driver holding back many enterprises from moving to the cloud. Can hardware-based solutions, such as Intel Cloud Integrity Technology, be a differentiator of interest to cloud providers? How does it provide proactive server assurance and mitigate the injection and other threats at boot up? How does it help in relation to compliance, key management, and assured NFV and SDN policies? Intel’s GM of Cloud Security, Ravi Varanasi, gives you an inside look on Tuesday.

Get the answers to these and other pressing questions at the WHD.global conference, March 15 – 17. Do you have questions about SSH? Tatu Ylönen, its inventor, is holding an open Q&A session on Wednesday, March 16.

Keynote speakers also include, Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Stewart Baker, James Veitch, and Mark Shuttleworth.

Of course, Imperva Incapsula will be there at WHD.global, too. Our own Oz Wilder, Director of Product Management, hopes to meet you, and tell you all the latest news about our “Single IP Protection — The Holy Grail of DDoS Mitigation for Hosting Providers” on Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.
